What to expect:
In the privacy and confidentiality of the therapy room you can talk about the issues in your life, you can explore where you are now and where you want to be. Teresa will draw on a mix of therapeutic approaches to support your process of change. |

Thinking skills - challenging unhelpful thoughts, developing flexible and positive thinking, decision making, motivation
Mood management - how to balance your life with routine, structure, goal setting, thinking skills and mood changing activities
Communication skills - assertiveness, listening skills, body language
Stress management - recognise and understand stress and anxiety responses, learn how to deal with it using relaxation techniques
Leisure skills - develop healthy hobbies and interests
Parenting skills - communicating positively and confidently, establishing boundaries, behavioural goal setting and consequences, engaging through play
Organisational skills - time management, goal setting and prioritising
Wellness plan development - recognising signs and symptoms of distress, developing an understanding of what your personal needs are to function at your best, practicing taking care of yourself |

About Teresa
Teresa is an experienced Occupational Therapist and counsellor, committed to the values of emotional health and wellbeing. Her approach is gentle, direct and action orientated.
Teresa has worked in the private and public sector and within commercial business. She is a member of both the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Counsellor and Psychotherapists Association.
Teresa blends her skills of Occupational Therapy and counselling to support you in working through your current life issues, identifying personal goals and improving emotional health and wellbeing.
Teresa believes in helping build resilience by providing emotional support and teaching skills for managing thoughts and emotions. She also believes that being active keeps us connected and develops our hopefulness, self belief and confidence. |
